Icon Girl Pistols formed in 2008 and--hey, wait a second. The bass player's name is Christopher David O'Reilly? Why do I get the feeling he's not Japanese? Oh, well, the rest of the band is. In 2010, the band released a free download single every month. Near as I can tell, they're all still available, as are a lot of other free downloads. Just head over to the band's web site and start hitting pictures and you're more likely to hit on a free download than not. About the only thing that doesn't seem to be free is the band's latest record "Goodbye Donuts (Hello Statue of Liberty)".
"My Bloody Christmas" was Icon Girl Pistol's December 2010 download--pretty obviously a Christmas track. There's a notation on "My Bloody Christmas" that says "from 1976". Since the band formed in 2008, I don't find that plausible unless they mean that's when it was written. Doesn't matter. Great song. 5 minutes and 59 seconds worth. Go get it. You'll thank me later.
Head to this page, scroll down until you reach "Free Download 2010", then click on the pic in the bottom right of that group. You should recognize the artwork. You can also click where it says "12 My Bloody Christmas".
